I’m honored to be part of this project along with other Filipino poets for the benefit of the victims of the typhoon Yolanda(international name: Haiyan) that hit the Philippines last year. More than 100 days from the devastation and people in Visayas region especially in Leyte would still need continuous support from the government as well as other organizations around the world. So this collection of poetry written by Filipinos from the different part of the globe has collaborated for one main goal and that is to help, in our simple way, the victims for their faster recovery. Profits from this anthology would go directly to relief organizations. The wounds might not be completely healed and the scars of the devastation might remain for some, but we, hand in hand, even with our little contribution, can make a difference in their lives in our own simple ways.
Other poets who helped to make this anthology are Simeon Dumdum Jr., Felix Fojas, Mayu Joaquin, Joel Pablo Salud, Luisa A. Igloria, J Likha Yatco, Alma Anonas-Carpio and of course our editor who made this project possible Eileen Tabios.
