Poem About The Rain

I watch the rain outside

Slowly turning into your memory

Into your face smiling at me

To your eyes, of how they used

To stare at nights like this,

Eventually becoming words–

These words are so lonely,

That I saw death flip flap in the sky

The words, aching to turn to ashes

These words are so lonely,

That it hurts the tongue

Even I watch the rain pour

From my window in silence
